Women Empowerment & Child Development

Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) scheme is a positive initiative to prevent and increase the decline in child sex ratio. This program seeks to empower women, honor them and increase opportunities. Presently this scheme is operated in all the districts of the state.

Main Objective

Celebrating Girl Child Birth Anniversary and Educating Girl Child.

Our objective

• Prevention of gender-selected gender completion.
• To ensure the survival and protection of the girl child.
• To ensure education of the girl child.

It is being implemented in all the States / Union Territories through a national campaign focusing on multi-sectoral action in selected districts. This program is being run in partnership with the Ministry of Women Empowerment and Child Development, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and Human Resource Development Resources in the state.

Monitoring and evaluation of the scheme –

The following committee has been constituted at the state, district and development level for monitoring and evaluation of Beti Beti Bachao Beti Padhao scheme in the state.
